SHARJAH: Glamour & Style in collaboration with Women of Wisdom (WOW) organised an exhibition and fair ‘WOW Fiesta 2023’ at Expo Centre Sharjah. The event was attended by a large number of females.
The WOW Fiesta 2023 was organised in connection with Marhaba Ramadan and International Women’s Day celebrations.
The fair was organised by Najia Furqan of Glamour & Style in collaboration with WOW, which is a Dubai-based social media group. Sarwat Zehra, Zubeida Khanum, and Sadia Tariq were actively involved in the celebrations.
The major goal of WOW is to give a platform to women to advance in their fields of specialisation, where these women, by positively employing their strengths, can play an effective part in the cultural and financial growth of the society and start or expand their business. All this was demonstrated in action at the Marhaba Ramadan’s amazing WOW Fiesta.
The intellectual hall of Expo Centre Sharjah began receiving and registering guests from 12 noon and proceeded until late evening.
Women had decorated several stalls where food stalls were attracting the interest of the guests.
With Ramadan approaching, many ladies were spotted promoting home-cooked meals. Many stalls showcased women’s interests and hobbies, such as apparel, jewellery, beauty products and shoes. On the one hand, henna colours were strewn on the hands while on the other a woman was observed selling Holi colours. The home industry was also pushed in a very attractive way.
The WOW group prepared several activities to add to the festival’s enjoyment, including the United Foods Company PSC-sponsored ‘Jhatt Patt Salad Competition’ which was very well received amongst the guests and participants.
Mrs Sajida Rashid, Ms Tahira Ghafoori, and respected Arshad Siddiqui announced the competition’s first, second, and third place winners.
ZamZam Pharmacy’s Kids Talent Show was the most successful segment of the evening, with the children’s enthusiasm adding four moons to the festivities.
Ms Zubaida Khanum of WOW will surely be credited with the success of the Kids Talent Show, whose hard work and attention to detail enabled the children to demonstrate their ability on stage.
This year’s Women’s Day subject is the parity in technological education and trainings without any gender biasedness. In this connection, Ms Sadia Tariq, a member of WOW, also arranged a technology workshop. She provided the audience with a wealth of relevant knowledge about digital marketing during her address.
Ms Sarwat Zahra, founding member of WOW, afterwards awarded shields and certificates to the participants.
United Foods Company Dubai, Al Jarf Group Ajman, ZamZam Pharmacy Ajman, Super-Fix Auto Centre Dubai and Baspari Cosmetics Dubai are some of the well-known companies that helped make this festival a success.
Glamour & Style’s Najia Furqan praised them and presented the honourable sponsors with honorary shields and awards.
