Islamabad: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has issued a final call to all eligible voters, urging them to complete their voter registration, correct their particulars, or transfer their votes by October 25, as the process is set to close on that day.
An ECP official confirmed that facilitation desks, both at the central Election Commission office in Islamabad and its district-level offices, have been diligently assisting citizens with this crucial task.
The public is encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to register as voters or rectify any discrepancies in the voter lists. Ensuring that their voter details align with their Computerized National Identity Cards (CNICs) data is of paramount importance. The deadline for these actions is October 25, 2023.
The Election Commission had initially frozen the voter lists on July 20, 2023, as per the provisions of the Elections Act, 2017. However, to simplify the process for the public and encourage maximum participation, the ECP subsequently unfroze the lists from September 28 to October 25, 2023. During this period, all eligible individuals had the opportunity to register as voters, withdraw their registration, or make necessary corrections.
This deadline serves as a critical reminder for citizens to exercise their right to vote and ensure that their voices are heard in the democratic process. Make sure to register, correct, or transfer your vote by October 25 to have your say in the future of Pakistan. Don’t miss this chance to be an active participant in shaping the nation’s destiny.
