Rawalpindi: The funeral prayers for North Waziristan Martyrs army officers in the were solemnly conducted at Chaklala Garrison in Rawalpindi.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) press release, the funeral prayers honored the brave sacrifices of North Waziristan Martyrs, Lieutenant Colonel Syed Kashif Ali and Captain Muhammad Ahmed Badar, who laid down their lives in service to the nation.
A gathering of civilian and military dignitaries, including President Asif Ali Zardari, the Foreign Minister, and the Interior Minister, joined in paying their respects to the fallen heroes. The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee and senior Army officials also participated, demonstrating the nation’s unity and reverence for its defenders.
The funeral proceedings witnessed a large gathering of relatives, local residents, and senior military and civil officers, all united in their tribute to the martyrs.

Expressing profound grief, President Asif Ali Zardari reiterated the Pakistan Army’s unwavering commitment to uphold the principles of faith, unity, and discipline in the face of terrorism.
“The soldiers of the Pakistan Army have displayed unwavering dedication and professionalism in safeguarding our nation against terrorism. Their willingness to make any sacrifice for the defense of our beloved country is an inspiration to us all,” remarked President Zardari, adding, “the entire nation stands with its armed forces.”
The martyrs will be laid to rest in their native areas with full military honors, a tribute befitting their valor and dedication to duty, the ISPR statement concluded.
