Islamabad: The Leaders of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PT) Malika Bukhari, Musarrat Jamshed, Jamshed Cheema and Senator Abdul Qadir also announced their separation from the party over the May 9 violence.
After being released from Adiala Jail, Musarrat Jamshed and Jamshed Cheema announced their resignation from politics and PTI at the National Press Club Islamabad, saying that we are ideological political people and tried to always work for democracy, but the army What was done against and targeting the leadership is not acceptable in any way.
Jamshed Cheema said that those involved in the events of May 9 should be punished, it was not an attack on Jinnah House but only a protest plan. Leaving politics which was not an easy task for us.
Earlier, while holding a press conference at the National Press Club Islamabad, Malika Bukhari said that no one forced her to leave the party. She said that she strongly condemns the events of May 9. There should be a transparent investigation, the miscreants involved in arson and attacks on military installations should be brought to justice as per the law.
Malika Bukhari said that she is announcing her detachment from Tehreek-e-Insaaf and resigning from all party positions, as a lawyer, she will continue to work for the improvement of justice system.
Meanwhile, Tehreek-e-Insaf senator from Balochistan Abdul Qadir also officially announced his separation from Tehreek-e-Insaf today. Abdul Qadir was elected as an independent senator from Balochistan in 2021.
While talking to the media in Parliament House, Senator Abdul Qadir said that I condemn the attack on Jinnah House, Corps Commander House and Army installations, I will sit in the House as an independent instead of Tehreek-e-Insaf.
