Maximum support to lower class is govt’s top priority: Dar

Islamabad: Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar called the current government’s priority to provide maximum support to the backward and lower classes of the country and said that it is well aware of the problems of the common people.

These views were expressed by Finance Minister Ishaq Dar in a follow-up meeting on the Prime Minister’s relief package through the Utility Stores Corporation. , Subsidy is being provided on five essential commodities comprising flour, sugar, rice and ghee.

A comprehensive hybrid model comprising targeted and non-targeted elements were also discussed in detail in the meeting to provide maximum relief to the lower sections of society.

Finance Minister Ishaq Dar expressed the determination of the present government to give maximum relief to the poor and support them, saying that the present government is well aware of the problems of the people and providing more support to the people is the top priority of the present government.
