MQM-P scheduled to meet Shehbaz Sharif today

Lahore: The negotiation team of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) is gearing up for talks with Shehbaz Sharif president of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N)  in Lahore today. The meeting with Shehbaz Sharif, scheduled for 3 pm, is expected to address crucial issues including constitutional reforms and the MQM-P’s potential inclusion in the federal cabinet.

The primary focus of the meeting will be on advancing constitutional reforms and exploring avenues for the MQM-P’s participation in the federal cabinet. Previous talks between the two parties have centered on the PML-N’s commitment to supporting MQM-P’s demands, particularly concerning greater representation in both the federal government and the crucial position of Sindh governorship.

The PML-N’s assurance to back MQM-P’s agenda is seen as a step towards securing mutual cooperation in forming the government at the center. As both parties converge in Lahore today, the outcomes of their discussions are anticipated to have significant implications for the political landscape of Pakistan. Stay tuned for updates on this developing story.
