NDMA Takes Swift Action to Provide Relief to Earthquake-Hit Afghanistan

Islamabad: The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) of Pakistan has launched proactive measures to extend critical relief supplies to earthquake-devastated Afghanistan.

The relief package, assembled by NDMA, includes vital items such as food, medicines, tents, and blankets, accompanied by dedicated search and rescue teams.

In a special session convened at the National Emergency Operations Centre in Islamabad, Chairman NDMA, Lieutenant General Inam Haider Malik, shared this crucial update.

The primary focus of the meeting was to assess the situation and formulate a comprehensive humanitarian assistance plan for Afghanistan in the aftermath of the destructive earthquake.

Chairman NDMA stressed the urgency of delivering relief aid to Kabul promptly, advocating for its swift transportation via both air and land routes to Afghanistan.

Furthermore, he appealed for seamless facilitation and coordination among all government departments and agencies involved in the relief efforts, recognizing the importance of a unified approach during this humanitarian crisis.

As Pakistan extends a helping hand to its neighbor in need, the NDMA’s swift and decisive action reflects a commitment to regional solidarity and disaster response, demonstrating the strength of cooperation during times of adversity.
