Islamabad: NEPRA has approved to impose an additional surcharge of 3 rupees 39 paise per unit on electricity consumers.
According to the details, this surcharge will be collected from the public from March to June, after the increase, the total surcharge will be 3 rupees 82 paise per unit, currently consumers are paying a surcharge of 43 paise per unit.
In the next financial year, this surcharge will be reduced to 1 rupees 43 paise, the surcharge will be applied to the K-electric customers as well, NEPRA has issued a decision on the request of the federal government.
