NEPRA jacks up power prices for Karachi

NEPRA jacks up power prices for Karachi again, NEPRA increased the cost of electricity for Karachi by one rupee 71 paise per unit. The increase approved for January will be charged in the March bill.

NEPRA has issued a notification for Karachi to charge additional rates for electricity consumed in January. An extra Rs 71 paise per unit will be charged in the January bill. This increase in the price has been done in the context of the monthly fuel adjustment for January, which will be charged to the electricity consumers of Karachi in the March bill.

Similarly, electricity has been increased for the rest of the consumers across the country, but they will be charged 48 paisa more per unit for January. Electricity has also been made expensive for them due to fuel adjustment.
