New Press Consular urges journalists to highlight Pakistan’s beauty and hospitality

DUBAI: The newly-appointed Press Consular in the United Arab Emirates, Mohammad Saleh, has urged the Pakistani journalists to highlight the country’s beauty and hospitality in order to attract international tourists, especially the ones from the Arab world.

Speaking at a special event organised by the Pakistan Union of Federal Journalists – UAE Region, Press Consular Mohammad Saleh emphasised the allure of Pakistan’s northern regions, boasting of majestic mountains and unique tourist attractions. He urged journalists to opt for Pakistani tourism, offering an affordable and enriching alternative to expensive European destinations.

Mohammad Saleh pledged to prioritise addressing the concerns of Pakistani journalists and assured them of support from diplomatic missions in the UAE. He highlighted the role of the Pakistani press section in providing guidance to visiting journalists, ensuring a seamless experience during their time in Pakistan.

Expressing gratitude to Press Consular Mohammad Saleh, Pakistan Union of Federal Journalists – UAE Region President Khalid Malik pledged to not only address the issues faced by Pakistani expats but also to enhance the country’s image through media.

Senior media-person Ansar Akram, the Secretary General of the Pakistan Union of Federal Journalists – UAE Region, highlighted the significance of Muhammad Saleh’s appointment as the new spokesperson for Pakistan in the United Arab Emirates.

He emphasised the importance of maintaining communication with both Pakistani and Dubai-based foreign media, particularly journalists from the Arab world.

Ansar Akram noted that many reports concerning Pakistan fail to appear in Arabic newspapers, underscoring the necessity for more effective communication strategies. He expressed optimism that Press Consular Mohammad Saleh would take initiatives to effectively convey Pakistan’s stance in Arabic-language newspapers across the Middle East. This, he believes, would contribute to fostering stronger diplomatic relations with the Arab world.

In recognition of his endeavors, Press Consular Mohammad Saleh was honoured with a traditional “Sindhi Ajrak” by the Pakistan Union of Federal Journalists – UAE Region, marking a promising start to fostering closer ties between Pakistan and the UAE through media diplomacy.

The members also expressed their condolences on the demise of Malik Arshad’s brother.
