WhatsApp is rolling out a new feature that allows users to share and forward messages, photos, videos, and other media directly to Meta platforms like Instagram and Facebook, as well as third-party apps such as Snapchat and X.
According to WABetaInfo, the feature is included in the latest Android 2.24.25.20 update and introduces a redesigned bottom bar for quick sharing to other apps. This enhancement aims to streamline the process of creating stories or posts without requiring users to manually download and upload content.
By simply selecting a photo, video, or GIF, users will see an option to post the media as a story on platforms like Instagram and Facebook. Additionally, the feature will expand to support direct sharing with Snapchat and X, further integrating WhatsApp with other social and communication platforms.
To make the process more versatile, WhatsApp will also introduce a “More” option, enabling users to share content across a broader range of apps beyond those explicitly listed.
Currently in the testing phase, the feature can be accessed by downloading the latest update through the Google Play Store. It reflects WhatsApp’s commitment to enhancing usability and interconnectivity across the digital ecosystem.
