No Space for Terrorists or Their Facilitators in Pakistan: COAS

The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), presided over the 268th Corps Commanders’ Conference (CCC) at the General Headquarters (GHQ). The meeting, held with senior military leadership, focused on national security, regional dynamics, and the military’s role in safeguarding Pakistan’s stability.

The forum began with a solemn moment of Fatiha, paying tribute to the supreme sacrifices of Pakistan’s Armed Forces, Law Enforcement Agencies, and citizens who have laid down their lives in the pursuit of peace and stability in the country.

A comprehensive briefing was delivered on the prevailing geo-strategic environment, highlighting emerging national security challenges and Pakistan’s strategic response to evolving threats. The discussion included an in-depth assessment of both regional and internal security dynamics.

The forum reiterated its resolve to combat terrorism in all its forms and manifestations, underscoring the commitment to eradicating terrorist activities regardless of the cost. The leadership vowed to bring the full force of the state against those facilitating terrorism, particularly targeting elements acting in the interest of hostile forces bent on destabilizing the nation.

A strong message was conveyed regarding the situation in Balochistan. The forum reaffirmed that no one would be allowed to disrupt the peace in the region. It also condemned the actions of foreign-sponsored proxies and their political backers, stating that their nefarious designs would be decisively thwarted with the full support of the people of Balochistan.

The COAS emphasized the urgent implementation of Vision Azm-e-Istehkam under the National Action Plan (NAP). The forum highlighted the need for a unified national approach to ensure the seamless and effective implementation of the plan, with sustained coordination between various state institutions. In this regard, General Munir commended the establishment of District Coordination Committees across the country and stressed the need for continued collaboration in aligning with governmental directives.

General Munir also reiterated the Pakistan Army’s commitment to supporting law enforcement agencies in cracking down on illicit economic activities, which have been linked to the financing of terrorism. He emphasized that there is no room for terrorists or their facilitators in Pakistan.

The forum also expressed deep concern over the persistent human rights violations in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), condemning the unprovoked ceasefire violations by the Indian Army along the Line of Control (LoC). Pakistan reaffirmed its unwavering support for the people of IIOJK, urging continuous diplomatic efforts to highlight the ongoing abuses on the global stage.

In addition, the forum expressed full solidarity with the people of Palestine, condemning the human rights violations and war crimes being committed in Gaza. Pakistan reiterated its diplomatic, political, and moral support for Palestine in its struggle for justice and self-determination.

The conference concluded with COAS General Munir directing field commanders to uphold the highest standards of operational readiness and professionalism. He emphasized the importance of rigorous training and maintaining peak combat preparedness to ensure the defense of Pakistan’s sovereignty.
