No worry about COAS appointment: Imran Khan

Lahore: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan has said that the appointment of the Army Chief should be based on merit and I do not care if any person is appointed to the post of Army Chief.

Chairman Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan while talking to senior journalists at the Chief Minister’s House 90 Quaid-e-Azam Highway said that they want to bring an army chief of their choice, this is a security threat because how can a criminal decide the army chief.

Imran Khan said that he is afraid of his corruption, while I am not afraid, the cipher was not stolen anywhere, but its master document is in the Foreign Office. So first I will ask who Donald Lowe ordered removed and then they were given NRO.

PTI Chairman said that I will not tell anyone the date of the long march because everything is recorded, I have kept the date of the march to myself, Shah Mahmood Qureshi is my vice-chairman, I have not told him either, October 16. It seems far away, the by-election may not come at all.

He said that the Election Commission is biased, they want to disqualify me in the Tosha Khana case together with him, the challenge is that the Tosha Khana case of me, Zardari and Nawaz Sharif should be heard together, I have done something illegal. No. While they illegally took valuable vehicles, Zardari and Nawaz Sharif could not take valuable vehicles in Shahkhana, but they took them home with them.

Imran Khan said that ‘everything can be done through negotiations, in the end things are settled only through negotiations’.

Chairman PTI said that he has imposed the NAB chairman’s will, the heads of these institutions want to impose their own will, the Election Commission has never seen so biased.

He further said that how Rana Sanaullah will stop our long march because Punjab Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is all around Islamabad. We have government in Azad Kashmir, Rana Sana is just threatening.
