ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development Sajid Hussain Turi has lauded services of overseas Pakistanis as they not only support their families but also are playing a key role in the country’s economy.
Addressing a ceremony, the minister said that Pakistanis living overseas work hard to earn a living for their families and at the same time are contributing in the country’s economy by sending remittances.
According to the national news agency, Turi said that the government was aware of the problems being faced by overseas Pakistanis and was determined to resolve issues. “You are free to contact me personally if there is any issue,” he said to Pakistanis working in other countries.
He said the government was also exploring more employment opportunities for labourers and skilled workers in other countries.
“Overseas Pakistanis are our asset and their welfare is the top priority of the government,” the minister said.
Turi was confident that Pakistan is destined to progress “as our nation is determined to rise above the present challenges”.
