PAD to Unveil Guinness World Record UAE Flag Made with 24K+ Handprints

Pakistan Association Dubai (PAD) will host a landmark ceremony on Thursday, May 22 at 11:00 AM at the Pakistan Auditorium, marking the culmination of the powerful month-long campaign Hands of Unity. The event will spotlight the unveiling of a UAE flag created with 24,514 handprints, a tribute to the UAE Year of Community.

In a moment of great pride, a Guinness World Records adjudicator will be present to officially recognize Pakistan Association Dubai, Emirates Loves, and artist Rubab Zahra as joint title holders for this remarkable achievement.

Launched by PAD, the Hands of Unity campaign has brought together people from all walks of life—students, workers, families, volunteers—spanning 39 locations, 23 educational institutions, and over 100 nationalities. Each handprint on the massive flag represents gratitude and appreciation for the UAE—a nation that exemplifies unity, diversity, and inclusivity.

“Since the last month, we’ve had a demanding yet rewarding journey,” said Khalid Imtiaz, Joint Secretary of PAD. “From organising school visits to activating camps and community spaces, the passion and enthusiasm of our community have made this possible. We look forward to sharing this proud moment together.”

The ceremony will welcome key community members, sponsors, and supporters who played a pivotal role in making the record attempt a reality.

“We are proud to dedicate this flag to the UAE — our second home,” said Dr. Faisel Ikram, President of PAD. “We are grateful to the Government of Dubai, and for the values of unity and tolerance this country stands for. As part of the Year of Community, this historic initiative is a testament to how people from all walks of life can come together for a common cause.”

This record-breaking event not only celebrates the UAE’s spirit of community but also strengthens the enduring bonds between the UAE and the Pakistani community.
