PAF Chief Praises Cadets, Highlights Air Force’s Decisive Role in National Defence

Air chief underscores unity of armed forces, modernisation of PAF, and Pakistan’s unwavering resolve to safeguard sovereignty.

The presence of Saudi cadets at the PAF Academy reflects the strong friendship and deep military cooperation between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, the Chief of the Pakistan Air Force said while addressing cadets.

He told the graduating cadets that they had been entrusted with the sacred duty of defending the nation’s air frontiers, adding that the hopes of the entire nation rested on their young shoulders. He recalled how the people of Pakistan and its armed forces demonstrated remarkable unity and defeated the enemy despite numerical disadvantages.

The air chief said that the decisive victory in the recent conflict was the result of the combined strength of all elements of national power and, above all, divine blessings. He added that the triumph was shaped by the harmony of the three services, bold decision-making, and the leadership of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir.

He noted that when Pakistan’s sovereignty was challenged, the Pakistan Air Force upheld its legacy of fighting outnumbered and successfully downed the enemy’s most advanced aircraft. He said PAF’s actions and operations were not only effective but also measured and appropriate, with the ultimate goal of restoring peace with dignity.

The air chief stated that the world had never before witnessed such bold employment of airpower, integrated with specialised technologies. The recent conflict, he said, had set a textbook example for modern aerial warfare, and in 2025, PAF once again proved its professional excellence and superiority across all domains.

He highlighted that PAF refined its operational doctrine in line with evolving warfare concepts, while taking into account financial constraints and technological availability. He added that the service adopted an aggressive and innovative strategy, inducting several advanced fighter aircraft and technologies in record time through its smart induction programme.

The air chief paid tribute to every member of the Pakistan Air Force for their professionalism and hard work under challenging conditions. He said PAF, together with all other services, defended the homeland with courage and perfect coordination, earning the pride of the entire nation.

He emphasised that the victory reflected the firm resolve of the national leadership and stood as proof of PAF’s outstanding professional competence. Pakistan, he said, is a peace-loving country that seeks friendly relations with all, but if its sovereignty is challenged again, the enemy will face an even stronger and better-prepared air force.

As a responsible nuclear state, Pakistan’s relations with major global and regional powers have grown stronger, he noted. He reaffirmed that the country’s leadership, armed forces, and resilient people remain determined to defend Pakistan’s ideological, geographical, and aerial frontiers at any cost.

The air chief concluded by saying that the people of Pakistan have unshakable trust in their armed forces — trust earned through decades of selfless service, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to national defence.
