DUBAI: Pakistani boxer Taimoor Khan was awarded a recognition shield and certificate by Ambassador Faisal Niaz Tirmizi at the Pakistan Consulate General.
Taimoor Khan is an Asian Boxing Federation heavyweight champion, who recently won the World Boxing Council Asia Continental title in Dubai. Taimoor beat India’s Jaskaran Singh in a technical knockout just 30 seconds into the first round of the bout, which was part of the World Boxing Association’s Color World Cup World Tour.
Ambassador Tirmizi while lauding Taimoor’s hard work and dedication said that his achievements bring pride to Pakistan and are a shining example of Pakistan’s talent and potential.
The ambassador also highlighted the significance of developing a strong sports culture among Pakistani youth that not only promotes physical prowess but also fosters national pride through such achievements.
Taimoor expressed his gratitude for the recognition of his efforts by the Pakistani embassy in the UAE. He emphasised that this success is a testament to the endless possibilities for those who work hard for their dreams and hoped to bring more accolades for Pakistan in future as well.
Taimoor remains Pakistan’s undefeated heavyweight boxer in the bouts he has fought so far.
