A public event on the theme of ‘Istehkaam-e-Pakistan’ was held within the premises of Embassy of Pakistan, Abu Dhabi to celebrate lifting of covid restrictions .
UAE announced lifting of all covid restrictions on November 7, 2022 following dropping of covid cases in the country.
The Embassy event was attended by a large number of Pakistani expatriates including doctors, ex-servicemen, engineers, educationists, businessmen, labourers & other professionals . Prominent community members spoke on the need for the economic stability of Pakistan and social cohesion.
Ambassador Faisal Niaz Tirmizi in his keynote address thanked the community leaders to turn out in large numbers to meet and greet him after the lifting of the Covid restrictions. He commended the UAE’s handling of the pandemic that attracted worldwide recognition. The country is one of the most vaccinated nations at almost 100 per cent of the population fully vaccinated.
Ambassador Tirmizi emphasized on the need to further deepen and broaden bilateral relations with the UAE especially in the economic, commercial and educational fields.
In the end, he extended heartiest congratulations to the people and the Government of the UAE on 51st National Day on behalf of the people and Government of Pakistan.
