Pakistan Conducts Operation “Bunyan-um-Marsoos”

Rawalpindi: The Pakistan Armed Forces have announced the successful execution of Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos on May 10, 2025, as part of the broader military conflict dubbed “Marka-e-Haq.” The operation was launched in direct response to what Pakistan called “brazen and unjustified” Indian military attacks that began on the night of May 6–7, resulting in civilian casualties, including women and children.

In a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Pakistan’s military said the retaliatory operation targeted 26 strategic military facilities across Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) and mainland India. These included airbases, missile depots, intelligence outposts, and command headquarters allegedly linked to attacks on Pakistani civilians.

“Alhamdulillah, the Pakistan Armed Forces have fulfilled the promise made to the nation,” the ISPR stated, expressing gratitude to Almighty Allah and commending the nation for its unity and resilience.

Key Indian installations targeted reportedly included BrahMos missile sites in Beas and Nagrota, S-400 air defence systems in Adampur and Bhuj, and airbases in Srinagar, Jammu, Ambala, and Pathankot. The ISPR said precision-guided Fatah-series missiles, long-range drones, and advanced air and artillery capabilities were deployed, all while maintaining a strategy of calculated restraint and avoiding civilian targets.

In a broader show of technological capability, Pakistani drones reportedly hovered over several Indian cities, including New Delhi, signaling Pakistan’s unmanned strike range and deterrent strength. Simultaneously, Pakistan also conducted cyber operations that temporarily disrupted Indian military infrastructure.

While engaged in eastern operations, Pakistan’s military also responded to increased militant activity in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, which it attributed to Indian-sponsored proxy elements aimed at destabilizing the internal front.

The ISPR emphasized that Marka-e-Haq demonstrated the comprehensive integration of air, land, sea, cyber, and diplomatic tools. “Let there be no doubt: whenever Pakistan’s sovereignty is threatened and its territory violated, the response will be comprehensive and decisive,” it added.

The military also expressed appreciation to political leadership across party lines, the media, youth, and the diplomatic corps for their unified support during the crisis. Special acknowledgment was given to the Prime Minister and cabinet for “strategic, destiny-shaping decisions.”
