Pakistan on Tuesday successfully conducted a training launch of the Shaheen-II Ballistic missile, further strengthening the nation’s defense capabilities. According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the test was aimed at training troops, validating technical parameters, and evaluating the performance of various sub-systems designed for improved accuracy and enhanced survivability.
The launch of Shaheen-II Ballistic missile was witnessed by senior officials from the Strategic Plans Division, Army Strategic Forces Command, and scientists and engineers from strategic organizations, the military’s media wing stated.

Director General Strategic Plans Division praised the technical skill, dedication, and commitment of the scientists and engineers involved in the successful launch. The test highlights Pakistan’s continued advancement in missile technology.
President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, and the three service chiefs extended their congratulations to the teams responsible for this significant achievement.
This training launch is part of Pakistan’s routine exercises to test the readiness of its missile arsenal. Last month, the Pakistan Navy demonstrated its combat readiness by successfully firing FN-6 surface-to-air missiles (SAM) in Karachi, showcasing its ability to engage airborne targets effectively.
