Pakistan, currently ranked as the most vulnerable country on the Germanwatch Climate Risk Index (CRI-2025), benefited from first-hand exposure to Italy’s disaster-management systems and resilience-building practices. Italy itself ranks third on the index due to its exposure to extreme weather events such as landslides and floods.

Participation in the workshop reinforced bilateral cooperation between Pakistan and Italy and highlighted a shared commitment to combating climate change and strengthening national capacities for disaster-resilient infrastructure.
