Karachi: Pakistan football team has been issued visas from Mauritius to travel to India.
According to the information received, the Indian High Commission in Mauritius has issued visas to the Pakistan football team. The national football team will depart from Mauritius to Bangalore, India by the first available flight to participate in the SAFF Cup.
Earlier, due to non-issue of visas, the Pakistan team could not leave for India on the scheduled flight. The Pakistan football team will play its opening match in the event against arch-rivals India on June 21.
The 14th SAFF Championship under the South Asian Football Federation is scheduled from June 21 to July 4 at the Srikanti Rewa Stadium.
According to the program, two matches will be played on the opening day, Pakistan is scheduled to face traditional rival India, while the match will be between Kuwait and Nepal.
