DUBAI: On the sidelines of the Abu Dhabi Dialogue 2026, Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development Chaudhry Salik Hussain held a meeting with Rabab Abdullah Al-Osaimi, Director-General of Kuwait’s Public Authority for Manpower (PAM), to explore avenues for strengthening labour-sector cooperation between Pakistan and Kuwait.

During the meeting, the federal minister said Pakistan highly values its long-standing and robust relations with Kuwait and is ready to sign the proposed Labour Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), which could be finalised during the forthcoming visit of the Crown Prince of Kuwait to Pakistan.
Both sides reviewed the positive outcomes of recent high-level engagements and noted the constructive response of the Kuwaiti authorities. They also discussed measures to further expand labour cooperation between the two countries.

Chaudhry Salik Hussain requested access to the PAM portal for Pakistani workers and overseas employment promoters to help facilitate smoother and more efficient recruitment processes.
Emphasising the contribution of Pakistani manpower, the minister said Pakistani workers have historically played a key role in Kuwait’s development and continue to possess the skills and capacity to meet Kuwait’s future workforce needs, particularly in infrastructure and other vital sectors.
The two sides agreed to advance labour cooperation and institutionalise regular consultations and engagements. The federal minister also extended an invitation to the Kuwaiti side to visit Pakistan.
