Islamabad: In a heartwarming celebration of 75 years of friendship, Pakistan-Netherlands have introduced a special postage stamp. The stamp was revealed by Ambassador Suljuk Mustansar Tarar from Pakistan and Secretary General Paul Huijts from The Netherlands at a ceremony that took place on Friday.
During the event, Ambassador Suljuk Mustansar Tarar highlighted the growing collaboration between the two countries, emphasizing recent high-level meetings, including those between Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar and Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte. The discussions covered various areas such as trade, economics, IT, and the import of manpower from Pakistan.

Secretary General Paul Huijts expressed his appreciation for the stamp’s design and commended the steady progress in political and economic relations between Pakistan and The Netherlands.
The unique postage stamp, designed by acclaimed Pakistani artist Aisha Khalid, was initially launched in Islamabad on November 2, 2023. The design beautifully symbolizes the enduring friendship and cooperation between the two nations.
Since establishing diplomatic relations in 1948, Pakistan-Netherlands have seen growth in various sectors, including politics, trade, investment, science, technology, education, water management, and collaboration on climate change. Notably, The Netherlands stands as the second-largest trade destination for Pakistan’s exports to the European Union.
