Islamabad: Pakistan has strongly condemned the terrorist attack in Sarwan region of Iran.
The spokesperson of the Foreign Office has said in a statement that Pakistan strongly condemns the terrorist attack that took place on May 20, 2023 in Sarwan County of Iran in which 6 security personnel were martyred.
The statement said that the government and people of Pakistan express their heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families of the martyrs as well as the Iranian government over this tragic incident.
The spokesman said that during the recent meeting between the Prime Minister of Pakistan and the President of Iran, it was reiterated that the two countries agreed on mutual efforts to end terrorism on both sides of the border.
The statement added that Pakistan views the Pak-Iran border as a border of peace and friendship, and is committed to working with Iran for this purpose.
