Salalah: Pakistan defeated Malaysia with a scoreline of 6-2 in the Junior Asia Cup in Oman on Wednesday. The Green Shirts are set to face India in the final today (Thursday).
In the semi-finals of the Junior Asia Hockey Cup, Pakistan defeated Malaysia and reached the finals.
In the second semi-final match of the ongoing Junior Asia Cup in Salalah, Oman, Pakistan qualified for the final by defeating Malaysia by six goals to two.
Pakistan’s first goal was scored by Mohammad Sufyan Khan in the 42nd minute and Abdul Rehman scored the second goal in the 44th minute.
Abdul Hanan Shahid scored the third goal of Pakistan in the 47th minute, Abdul Rahman scored the fourth goal in the 48th minute and Abdul Rahman scored the fifth goal in the 51st minute to complete his hat trick.
Pakistan’s sixth goal was scored by Arbaaz Ahmed in the 58th minute, while Danish and Prabhu scored goals for Malaysia, Abdul Rahman was declared the player of the match.
On the other hand, India defeated the Korean team 1-9 in the semi-final.
