Protesting the 27 days of continuous curfew and communications blackout in Indian Occupied Kashmir, a demonstration was held by Youth Association of Pakistan (YAP) outside National Press Club Islamabad.
While talking to the gathering, Chairman YAP Abdul Qadir said that occupational Indian regime is committing grave human rights violations in the Occupied Kashmir Valley, which demands attention from the world powers. He also impressed upon the world powers to play their role for materializing the Kashmiris’ right to self-determination so that the this 72 years dispute gets resolved as per the wills of Kashmiris.
President Youth Association of Pakistan, Ahsan Nawaz Khan stressed upon the fact that by acting unilaterally regarding Articles 370 and 35A, India has not only violated the UN security council resolutions but also the Simla agreement between the two nuclear armed neighbors. He further added that the lies and hypocrisy of Indian media has been exposed by international news outlets which reported arrests of Kashmiris in thousands, abduction and rapes of women by the Indian Occupational Forces and acute shortage of food and medical supplies in the Occupied region of Kashmir.
Other speakers at the occasion included Vice President YAP Muhammad Majid Khan, Director CPASS Asif Khurshid, President PSN Dr. Afzaal Babar, Advocate Islamabad High Court Khawaja Sajjad and Abdullah Khalil, all of whom expressed their resolute support for the occupied and oppressed Kashmiri brethren in their struggle for freedom and peace.
