Mumbai: As the Indian Premier League begins, an old video of Bollywood megastar Shah Rukh Khan has gone viral on social media, in which he is seen praising the Pakistani cricketer.
In the 2010 video, King can be seen advocating the inclusion of Pakistani players in the IPL and saying that Pakistani cricketers are the best T20 players.
The video was posted on Instagram by Pakistani singer and actor Ali Zafar in which the then Kolkata Knight Riders co-owner Shah Rukh Khan talks about the pressure of team selection.
Shah Rukh Khan calls the auction of Pakistani players disrespectful and says that he wanted to include Pakistani cricketer Abdul Razzaq in his team.
King Khan said that 11 Pakistani cricketers were shortlisted for the IPL auction but in the end none of them were taken.
The IPL has been criticized for removing Pakistani cricketers from its league and Shah Rukh Khan has been facing strong opposition for supporting Pakistani players.
