DUBAI: ‘Pakistanis in Dubai’ — the largest Pakistani social media group in the United Arab Emirates, organised a colourful event to celebrate the 76th anniversary of the Independence Day.
The group always strives to serve the community.
A large number of Pakistani community members, especially females, participated in the programme with great enthusiasm.
Songs, speeches and drawing competitions were held for the entertainment of children and adults. Volunteers were also awarded certificates.
There were food stalls set up where the guests could enjoy traditional Pakistani cuisine.
The management of ‘Pakistanis in Dubai’ group consists of Nasir Bangash, Fahad Shahid, Umar Farooq, Syed Adil, Nasir Gul Zaman, Waleed Parvez, Syed Iftikhar, Asif Billa, Asia, Rida Arsalan, Raja Obaid and Ramsha while the volunteers were Raja Ali Shan, Maryam and Umeer. Jameel and Adnan also played an important role in the organisation of the event.
To mark the celebrations, an Independence Day cake was also cut on the occasion.
