Paris, Pakistan’s star javelin thrower, Arshad Nadeem, has advanced to the finals of the Javelin Throw event at the Paris Olympics. On Tuesday, Nadeem delivered an impressive throw of 86.59 meters in the qualification round, surpassing the 84-meter minimum qualifying mark and securing his place in the medal contention.
Nadeem’s exceptional first attempt ensured his spot in the final and highlighted his extraordinary skill. With this achievement, he continues to be Pakistan’s brightest hope for a medal, especially as the country’s contingent of seven athletes has seen six others exit their respective events.
This will be Nadeem’s second consecutive appearance in an Olympic final, following his commendable fifth-place finish at the Tokyo 2020 Games. The final round of the Javelin Throw event is scheduled for Thursday, August 8, at 11:25 PM Pakistan Standard Time (PST).
