Peshawar: 2 workers killed in match factory explosion

Peshawar: Two workers were killed in an explosion in a match factory in Hayatabad.

According to SP Cantt, an explosion occurred during construction in an old factory in Peshawar’s Hayatabad area, as a result of which the roof and walls of the factory collapsed, two workers were buried under the debris and died.

Initially, the nature of the explosion was not known, but the police investigation team reached the spot and is collecting evidence. The dead bodies of the two workers have been shifted to the hospital for post-mortem.

Sources says that matches were being made in the said factory and construction work was also being done here, there may be a possibility of presence of explosive materials in the factory.
