Petrol price reduced by Rs2.07 for next 15 days

Islamabad: The federal government has announced another reduction in Petrol price.

The Petrol price has been reduced by PKR 2.07 per liter, and high-speed diesel (HSD) has seen a reduction of PKR 3.40 per liter. Additionally, the price of light diesel has been decreased by PKR 1.03 per liter, and kerosene has been reduced by PKR 3.57 per liter.

From June 1, 2024, to October 1, 2024, the cumulative reduction in petrol prices amounts to PKR 21.23 per liter, while the price of diesel has been lowered by PKR 18.67 per liter during the same period.

The new price of petrol has dropped from PKR 249.10 per liter to PKR 247.03 per liter, while the high speed diesel has decreased from PKR 249.69 per liter to PKR 246.29 per liter. Kerosene is now priced at PKR 154.90 per liter, down from PKR 158.47 per liter, and light diesel oil is reduced from PKR 141.93 per liter to PKR 140.90 per liter.

These price cuts have been implemented following directives from Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to pass on the benefit of reduced petroleum prices to the public. The new prices will come into effect on October 1, 2024.
