Islamabad: The Shehbaz Sharif-led government has opted to keep the Petrol price unchanged, setting it at Rs279.75 per litre for the upcoming fortnight.
According to a statement released by the Finance Division, diesel prices have witnessed a notable reduction of Rs1.77 per litre, now standing at Rs285.56 per litre.

Effective from 12:00 am on March 16, these revised prices are slated to remain in effect until March 31, providing consumers with a stable outlook on fuel expenditures.
Insiders within the ministry disclosed that the cost of kerosene oil has also experienced a decrease, now priced at Rs188.86 per litre following a Rs1.35 per litre reduction. Moreover, light diesel oil prices have seen a significant decline of Rs2.12 per litre.
