DUBAI: A delegation of the Pakistan Journalists Forum, UAE, led by its President Tahir Munir, visited SZABIST Dubai Campus on the invitation of the prestigious educational institution’s officials.
Prof Dr Hummayoun Naeem and Ms Nobia Saleem welcomed the delegates. They also shared some information regarding the institution.
The Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Institute of Science and Technology (SZABIST) is a fully chartered institute established through a Legislative Act of the Sindh Assembly (Sindh Act No. XI of 1995). The SZABIST Dubai Campus is the only Pakistani University of Dubai with the most economical fee structure in the whole region. In Pakistan, SZABIST has campuses in Karachi, Islamabad, Hyderabad, Larkana, Gharo.
The delegates appreciated the role of SZABIST Dubai Campus in supporting the Pakistani community with its state of the art facilities and up to the mark instruction standards as per the requirements of KHA, Government of Dubai and HEC, Islamabad.
The delegates further appreciated that:
- Three of the recent graduates of Dubai Campus secured UAE Golden Visa.
- Almost 80% of the campus students are generating their tuition fees on their own. SZABIST Placement Cell is always there to support students in finding part-time jobs in the ever growing market of Dubai.
- A lot of Pakistani students (studying at various universities of Lahore, Karachi and Islamabad) are now willing to join SZABIST Dubai Campus for better prospects for their families and Pakistan. SZABIST Dubai Campus has established a special help desk ([email protected]) for such requests from Pakistan.
SZABIST Dubai Campus is the only Pakistani university in Dubai that is approved and recognised by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) as a degree granting institution and is licensed by the Knowledge and Human Development Authority, Dubai.
The academic qualifications granted by this institution and certified by KHDA shall be recognised in the emirate of Dubai by all public and private entities for all purposes.
SZABIST Dubai offers undergraduate programmes in Business Administration and Computer Science and postgraduate programmes in Business Administration, Computer Science, Executive MBA and Project Management at an affordable tuition fee while maintaining high teaching standards.
In October 2003, the first academic session commenced at the Dubai Knowledge Village Campus in the faculties of Management Sciences and Computer Sciences. The Dubai Campus further expanded to its new campus in Dubai International Academic City Block 10.
