PM Kakar Initiates Swift Rehabilitation for Balochistan Flood Victims

Quetta: In a crucial meeting to assess the administrative affairs of Balochistan, Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar directed authorities to expedite the rehabilitation process for families affected by recent floods. The prime minister emphasized the urgent need to reconstruct damaged houses and revitalize infrastructure in the flood-hit areas of the province.

During the comprehensive review, PM Kakar was briefed on the ongoing efforts to reconstruct infrastructure damaged by the 2022 floods. He instructed relevant authorities to ensure immediate water supply to all deprived areas, addressing a crucial need for the affected communities.

The prime minister received updates on various sectors, including water reservoirs, housing construction, communication infrastructure, law and justice, fishing, and mining. Acknowledging the significance of the mining and mineral sectors for Balochistan’s future, PM Kakar stressed the importance of domestic and foreign investment in these areas.

In a move towards enhancing transportation safety, the caretaker prime minister called for the implementation of a safety certificate mechanism and the establishment of a comprehensive database for license issuance and verification. Additionally, he instructed authorities to create a special patrolling force to combat illegal trawling in coastal areas, with a specific focus on forming a local force in Gwadar to address this issue.

The meeting, attended by Caretaker Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Ali Mardan Khan Domki, Caretaker Federal Information and Broadcasting Minister Murtaza Solangi, Caretaker Federal Education Minister Madad Ali Sindhi, provincial ministers, and senior officers, underscores the government’s commitment to the well-being and development of Balochistan. PM Kakar’s directives aim to accelerate recovery efforts and foster sustainable growth in the aftermath of natural disasters, addressing both immediate and long-term needs of the affected communities.
