Rawalpindi: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised the Pakistan military pivotal role in maintaining strategic stability in the region during the concluding session of the Army War Game held in Rawalpindi on Thursday, according to a statement by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The premier received a comprehensive briefing on the recently concluded wargame and the operational readiness of the Pakistan Army across the full spectrum of threats, as per the military’s media wing. High-ranking officials, including Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir, and senior military personnel, were also in attendance.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed his full satisfaction with the operational preparedness of the Pakistan Army and recognized the crucial role of the armed forces in preserving the delicate balance of power, vital for maintaining peace in a nuclearized South Asia.
He commended the innovative employment concepts and structural reforms that are enhancing the deterrence regime, ensuring that any potential aggression would impose a significant retributive cost on the adversary.
The military leadership reaffirmed their unwavering commitment to safeguarding national sovereignty and territorial integrity at all costs, the ISPR stated. They emphasized that the Pakistan Army remains fully aware of the prevailing security challenges and will continue to enhance its capabilities to counter any hostile designs against the country.
