Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Monday reiterated the government’s commitment to resolving the issues of overseas Pakistanis on a priority basis and pledged to provide them with enhanced facilities and investment opportunities.
Chairing a special meeting focused on matters concerning overseas Pakistanis, the Prime Minister acknowledged their crucial role as Pakistan’s ambassadors abroad and appreciated their contributions in various sectors around the globe.
“Overseas Pakistanis are the pride of the nation. They have worked tirelessly in the fields of medicine, education, engineering, and consultancy, earning a reputable name for both themselves and their country,” said PM Shehbaz. “We salute their dedication, love, and sacrifices for Pakistan.”
He emphasized that the government is actively working to create more investment avenues tailored to the expertise of the expatriate community. The Prime Minister noted that the large turnout at the recently held overseas convention reflects the trust and confidence of the diaspora in the current government’s policies.

In recognition of their services, the government has announced a comprehensive package of incentives for overseas Pakistanis. PM Shehbaz also revealed that those who have excelled in their respective fields or contributed significantly through remittances via the State Bank of Pakistan would be honored with civil awards.
The meeting included a detailed briefing on the progress of announced facilities and strategies for their implementation. Attendees included Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Chief of the Army Staff General Asim Munir, federal ministers, and other senior officials.
