Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has inaugurated two major infrastructure projects in Islamabad, aimed at easing traffic congestion and improving the flow of transportation in the federal capital. The projects include the Jinnah Avenue-Ninth Avenue and the Serena Chowk-Convention Centre intersections.
During the foundation stone-laying ceremony, Interior Minister Mohsin Raza Naqvi announced that the Serena Chowk-Convention Centre intersection will be completed within 60 days, while the Jinnah Avenue-Ninth Avenue project is set to be finished in 120 days. These improvements are expected to significantly reduce traffic bottlenecks in the city.
Naqvi also outlined plans to resolve traffic issues at Faizabad through adjustments to bridges and flyovers. Additionally, the connection between Margala Road and the motorway is in its final stages of planning.
In terms of recreational development, Naqvi revealed that a safari park will be constructed in Islamabad within the next 90 to 100 days, and two sites have already been identified for the construction of five-star hotels.

The government is also planning to install the tallest flag in South Asia in Islamabad, with sponsorships for the initiative currently being finalized.
