Islamabad: The PML-N has persuaded the allied parties on the Reko Diq issue.
Sources said that the government will increase the share of Balochistan from 25 percent to 35 percent on the Reko Diq project. According to sources, an amendment bill will be brought for this purpose. According to the sources, the bill will be brought in the joint session of the Parliament.
It should be noted that on Friday, December 9, the Supreme Court declared the Reko Diq agreement legal. In the decision, the recode agreement was declared not against the decision of the Supreme Court in 2013, the federal and provincial governments made the agreement after taking the opinion of experts.
The Supreme Court bench wrote in its opinion that the constitution of the country does not permit a contract against the law of national assets. Provincial governments can amend and change laws regarding minerals.
