Police is most corrupt institution, Transparency Intl. report

Islamabad: Transparency International declared the police as the most corrupt institution in the country, the tendering or contract sector was second and the judiciary ranked third.

In the National Corruption Perception Survey Report released by Transparency International Pakistan, the education sector has been given the fourth rank among the most corrupt institutions.

In the survey report, the education sector has been declared the most corrupt in Sindh province, police in Punjab, judiciary in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, tendering and contract in Balochistan as the most corrupt institutions.

According to the report, Pakistanis believe that there is a lot of corruption in the provision of services, during the recent floods there was also corruption in the distribution of aid and people have demanded life imprisonment for corrupt people.

Public opinion has also been given that government officials, politicians and judges should disclose their assets.
