Premier directive not to load-shedding during Sehar and Iftar in Ramadan

 

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif directed to reduce load shedding in summer and not to switch off electricity during Sahar and Iftar in Ramadan.

According to Leading News, Prime Minister Shahbaz sharif chaired a review meeting on various projects of power sector and electricity supply during summer, in which the Prime Minister directed to the authorities that  no load shedding should be done during Sahar and Iftar.

He said that the speed of solarization of government buildings should be accelerated.

The Prime Minister expressed his indignation over the slowness in the process of laying the Thar Matiari 500 KV transmission line and said that why this work was not completed within the stipulated period, departmental action should be taken against the officers guilty of negligence in the project. Shahbaz Sharif also directed the restructuring of the NTDC Board.
