Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif rejected the resignation of Azam Nazir Tarar as Law Minister and directed him to continue his work.
According to Leading News, a delegation of federal ministers reached the residence of Senator Azam Nazir Tarar in Islamabad with the message of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. A delegation comprising Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Khawaja Saad Rafiq and Information Minister Maryam Aurangzeb met Azam Nazir Tarar and tried to persuade him to withdraw his resignation.
The delegation of federal ministers informed Azam Nazir Tarar about the Prime Minister’s decision and told that “Shahbaz Sharif has rejected the resignation and instructed you to continue with the duties of the Law Minister, so you should continue your work”.
On the request of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Azam Nazir Tarar will resume the duties of the Law Minister on Wednesday.
It should be noted that Senator Azam Nazir Tarar resigned from the post of Law Minister on October 24. After which Sardar Ayaz Sadiq was given the additional responsibilities of Law Minister.
