Premier’s visit to Turkiye postponed due to engagement of Turkish leadership

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif’s visit to Turkey was postponed at the last moment due to the reconstruction works after the earthquake.

According to government sources, the Prime Minister was supposed to leave for Turkiye in the morning, but due to bad weather and Turkish leadership’s preoccupation with rehabilitation works, the visit has been postponed, the future dates of which will be decided later.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif was supposed to visit the earthquake-affected areas by helicopter after reaching Turkey. The helicopter could not land due to bad weather in the earthquake-affected area, while the President and Prime Minister of Turkey are also engaged in relief activities.
