Lahore: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan has said that President Arif Alvi is in touch with me and he will consult on the summary of the appointment.
In an interview given to private TV, Imran Khan said that President Arif Alvi is in touch with me, whatever my summary goes to the President, he will consult with me.
Imran Khan said that when the prime minister can be consulted with a fugitive person on the issue of important appointment, then Arif Alvi can consult me as the party chief.
Chairman PTI said that “I don’t know how much truth there is in the words of former spokesperson of Muslim League-N based in London, Tasneem Haider. We will not do anything that is against the law.”
Also, speaking to senior journalists at his residence in Lahore Zaman Park, Imran Khan said that the decision of the army chief should be based on merit. Justice is to be harmed.’
It should be noted that the summary of the names of 6 lieutenant generals for important appointments in the Pakistan Army was sent to the Ministry of Defense by GHQ last night, after which it was sent to the Prime Minister’s House.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will use his constitutional authority to approve the names of Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff and Army Chief after consulting the coalition parties, after which it will be sent to the President for approval.
