Islamabad: The Economic Coordination Committee of the Cabinet has approved a surcharge of 2 rupees 23 paise, increasing the cost of electricity across the country.
In this regard, it was informed that the Economic Co-ordination Committee of the Cabinet has approved that additional 335 billion rupees will be collected from consumers with the help of surcharge.
Earlier, the price of ghee sold under the Prime Minister’s package at utility stores was increased by Rs 115 per kg.
The price of subsidized ghee at utility stores has been increased from Rs 375 to Rs 490. Under the Prime Minister’s package, the price of ghee has been increased for the second time in two months. Earlier on January 1, 2023, the price of koghi was increased by Rs 75 per kg. Ghee has become expensive by Rs 190 within two months.
