Islamabad: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Wednesday by appointing Barrister Ali Zafar as its new parliamentary leader in the Senate. The decision was met with approval from PTI chief and was officially confirmed through a circular issued by the Senate secretariat.
The appointment of Barrister Ali Zafar to this prestigious position in the upper house of the Parliament reflects PTI’s commitment to strengthening its representation and leadership in key political forums. PTI Secretary General Omar Ayub issued a formal notification to endorse the appointment.

Irfan-ul-Haque Siddiqui, while participating in the debate, expressed regret over the lack of forceful action by Muslim countries in advocating for the protection of Palestinian lives and properties. Saadia Abbasi paid tribute to the sacrifices made by the Palestinian people and stressed that Israelis have no rightful claim over Palestinian territory. The sentiment of injustice and solidarity with the Palestinian cause was echoed by several members of the Senate.
Nisar Ahmed Khuhro emphasized the vital role of global organizations, including the United Nations, in facilitating the peaceful resolution of the Palestine and Kashmir disputes. He assured that Pakistan’s sympathies and support will always remain with the Palestinian people during these challenging times.
