PTI fires back after ISPR warning to Imran

Lahore: The central leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Fawad Chaudhry has said that the press release of the spokesperson of the Pakistan Army is creating an impression that the army is above the law.

Reacting to the press release issued by the Public Relations Department of the Pakistan Army (ISPR) on Imran Khan’s allegations, Fawad Chaudhry said that the ISPR press release is surprising.

He said that if Imran Khan thinks that any officers are involved in the murderous attack on him, then it should be satisfied through an independent and transparent investigation and it should be clarified that this is not the case.

Fawad Chaudhry wrote that refusing to investigate the allegation and such press releases are telling that you are above the law in Pakistan, such behavior is destructive for nations.

PTI Secretary General Asad Umar said that he fully agrees with the ISPR that the legal route should be taken to resolve the allegations. He said that Imran Khan has tried to approach the Supreme Court by filing an FIR. Supporting this legal route would be a very positive step.
