Lahore: President of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chaudhry Parvez Elahi was arrested from Zahoor Elahi Road.
According to Leading News, former Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervez Elahi was arrested by the CIA Iqbal Town team at 5.30 am near his residence Zahoor Palace on Zahoor Elahi Road in Lahore and taken to an unknown location in a car. The police broke the glass and took Parvez Elahi out of the car, CCPO Lahore was also present at the spot during the operation.
According to the sources, the Punjab Police had been searching for Chaudhry Pervez Elahi for several days and as soon as he reached Zahoor Elahi Road, the policemen who were already there arrested him. Chaudhry Pervez Elahi has been handed over to Anti-Corruption, Lahore. DSP CIA Mohammad Ali Butt presented to Pervaiz Elahi.
Sources told that Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi has been arrested in the case of alleged corruption of 70 crores registered in the Anti-Corruption Headquarters. On May 26, Chaudhry Pervez Elahi’s bail was canceled in case number 7/23, on May 27, the anti-corruption court issued his arrest warrant.
