Islamabad: The Islamabad High Court has fixed for hearing the petition filed to stay the FIA investigation in the prohibited funding case of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf.
The PTI’s petition has sought to restrain the FIA from arrests and raids in the funding case. FIA raided and harassed the house of Senator Saifullah Niazi. FIA inquiries and raids are illegal, so such actions should be stopped immediately.
Tehreek-e-Insaf has further stated in the petition that FIA is harassing on political basis. The court stopped the FIA from investigating the funding case. After the regime change, PTI raised funds for the anti-government movement. All funds received from abroad are received in accordance with the law.
In the petition filed by PTI, the Home Secretary, DG FIA and the investigating officer were made parties. The Islamabad High Court has fixed PTI’s petition for hearing, which will be heard by Justice Amir Farooq on Monday.
