PTI’s Reference for disqualification of Zardari rejected

Islamabad: Speaker National Assembly rejected the reference filed by Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Zulfi Bukhari for the disqualification of former president and member of National Assembly Asif Zardari.

According to Sources, the disqualification reference sent to Speaker National Assembly against former President and Member National Assembly Asif Ali Zardari was rejected by the Speaker of Assembly Raja Pervez Ashraf.

The reference was submitted to the National Assembly Secretariat by Syed Zulfiqar Abbas Bukhari aka Zulfi Bukhari in which former President Asif Ali Zardari was requested to be disqualified as a member of the National Assembly under Article 62 and 63 of the Constitution.

Zulfi Bukhari also requested to refer the question of disqualification to the Election Commission of Pakistan.

The Speaker National Assembly has sent a copy of the decision to the Election Commission while rejecting the reference under Clause (2) of Article 63 of the Act.
